California - 12/02

In December of 2002, we visited Laura in California.  Our niece, Monica, joined us for what turned out to be a very exciting and enjoyable trip starting in Manhattan Beach and ending up in San Francisco.

Manhattan Beach - the first picture is Howie meeting Monica in front of the Sea View Inn - David is watching from inside our Ford Excursion (the only SUV that could hold the 8 of us with luggage!).

Santa Monica was next - beautiful scenery.  We drove Laura to work that evening and were impressed by the cloud beyond the highway sign!

On the 3rd morning we started our trip north on the Pacific Coast Highway - first stop Hearst Castle at San Simeon............
